Ty Derwen Residential Care Home aims to provide a homely, happy, family atmosphere with a very high quality of living which allows all of our service users to retain their privacy, dignity and independence.

 

Based in the pleasant village of Crumlin, South Wales, Ty Derwen is a friendly, homely residential care home set in spacious landscaped gardens. Twenty eight bedrooms provide long term care services for up to 32 elderly people some male and female residents, all of whom are over 65 years old. Companion rooms are also available.

 

Ty Derwen is a home away from home, committed to enabling our residents to live the life they want, providing them with the support, care and encouragement they need.

 

Dawn O’Sullivan is your experienced manager at Ty Derwen. Dawn prides herself on the smooth running of the home and is often the face that welcomes you at the door. All the staff at Ty Derwen strive to ensure our residents enjoy life. We encourage residents to bring in personal items of furniture so they feel at home straight away.

24 hour care ensures that residents are safe and well, and a variety of activities and services on the premises further promote their well being.

 

Our highly experienced trained staff understand the importance of respecting the rights of all individuals and the need to allow our service users to feel fulfilment in their everyday lives

We have two lounges at Ty Derwen, one of which is particularly spacious and the hub of this friendly residential home. Music is often playing while residents happily sing along or waltz together. Various activities including keep fit are held here on a weekly basis.

 

Wide corridors throughout make Ty Derwen feel hotel like, a place for residents to continue to enjoy life and maintain their independence.

 

The south facing dining room has a sunny outlook and provides a comfortable setting for the interesting and varied meals provided.

 

The well maintained garden is reached directly from the dining room providing a perfect setting for rest and relaxation. The garden has a summer house and potting shed with a large ramped entrance that is south facing with garden benches and plant displays.
